@archaeologyart was originally founded in Istanbul in 2016 under the name @ancientanatolia. Its mission was to help promote and preserve the ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine heritage located in modern-day Turkey. However, this mission ended in 2018, and @ancientanatolia was renamed @archaeologyart.
Today, @archaeologyart is primarily a collaborative effort by a team of three. The account's founder holds dual Turkish and Romanian citizenship and is of Balkan descent. The other contributors are citizens of Greece and Italy. So, we're all citizens of the Roman Empire.
How do we create our content?
The content we publish on social media is initially drafted in our contributors' native languages. After a final review, it's translated into English using a 'professional translation program'. The information derived from the materials we compile for images, videos, and other content is entirely the result of human effort and judgment. Aside from the final English translation phase, all our content is crafted by our writers.
How are our designs created?
All three team members have design skills. Our artwork is mostly created using Adobe Illustrator and Procreate. Most of the designs we used to launch this store (about 80 pieces) were created in 2021-2022 and were originally published on our Redbubble account. @archaeologyart initially published its designs on Amazon and Redbubble in 2021-2022, but the project had to be put on hold due to our other work in tourism. In 2026, we reviewed and curated all our past designs, and we founded a company in the US to bring them directly to you.
Where Are Our Products Made?
Transparency matters to us - and so does quality. We sold thousands of products throughout 2021 and 2022, testing print facilities across multiple continents to find partners who match our standards. The lessons from those early years still guide how we work today.

Why Only These Regions?
We expand only where we can guarantee the same quality and durability that we deliver in the United States. Some regions still do not have a print partner that meets our standards, which is why our store is not yet available worldwide. As soon as we identify a partner who can match this level of quality in additional regions, we will expand.
